Music Usage Rights

Your music usage rights depend on your current SOMA Breath certification level. Find your tier below to see what you can and cannot do with SOMA Breath music. Anyone wishing to go beyond what is permitted at their tier should contact support@somabreath.com.

For SOMA Breath Facilitators

As a certified SOMA Breath Facilitator, you have a limited license to use SOMA Breath music for facilitating live SOMA Breath Classes only. This music is provided through your BIG online account as pre-recorded audio journeys.

You may:

• Use the pre-recorded audio journeys provided in your BIG online account during your live SOMA Breath sessions — in person or online.

You may not:

• Modify, edit, remix, or alter the audio in any way.
• Create new scripts, improvise new guidance, or create custom music for SOMA Breath sessions.
• Distribute the audio to any third party — for free or for a fee.
• Use SOMA Breath's Facilitator program to teach any third party to become a SOMA Breath Facilitator.

If you'd like to do anything beyond live class facilitation with this music, please reach out to support@somabreath.com. Permission may be granted on a case-by-case basis with written approval from SOMA Breath Admin.

For SOMA Breath Instructors

As a SOMA Breath Instructor (enrolled in Breathwork Instructors Global), this music can be used for personal use and as background music in your live SOMA Breath Breathwork Workshops — in person and online.

You may not modify the music in any way, nor distribute it to anyone for free or for a fee.

If you wish to sell any of our music, you can do so using your affiliate program for the music that is available in our store for sale.

If you would like to use any of the music in promotional videos, or would like to create your own guided meditations using this music for redistribution, please reach out to support@somabreath.com. We may grant permission on a case-by-case basis — written permission from SOMA Breath Admin is required.

For Advanced Instructors, Transformational Coaches & Master Transformational Coaches

As an active BIG member certified as a SOMA Breath Advanced Instructor, Transformational Coach (TC), or Master Transformational Coach (MTC) and having passed the music mixing test, you have these additional music usage rights:

1. Reproduce, adapt, perform, and use the SOMA Breath music provided in your BIG online account in your guided meditation videos and other promotional material.
2. Record your voice over the SOMA Breath music.
3. Reproduce and distribute the Modified SOMA Breath Music with your voice — for free or for a fee — for individual, personal use only.

Conditions of Copyright License

The following conditions apply to all certification levels.

(a) Compliance with Guidelines

You shall comply with all instructions and guidelines provided from time to time by SOMA Breath with regard to the use and distribution of SOMA Breath content and the facilitation of courses, workshops, and other approved events using SOMA Breath content.

(b) No Alteration of Copyright Notices

You shall not alter or replace information about SOMA Breath's authorship or copyright ownership of any SOMA Breath content.

(c) Attribution

Wherever you use SOMA Breath content, you shall attribute SOMA Breath as the creator and owner of the materials. Where you use any SOMA Breath content in writing (including on YouTube and other audio-visual platforms), include this copyright notice:

(d) No Implied Third-Party Affiliation

All uses of SOMA Breath IP shall be made in accordance with your signed agreement and shall not imply an affiliation with any third party — including any brand, organization, company, or individual not licensed by SOMA Breath.

Where you wish to use the name, logo, or marks of a third party in connection with SOMA Breath IP, you must obtain SOMA Breath's prior approval. You may, however, use the business name, trade name, and/or trademark of a facility where a SOMA Breath class or approved event is being held — so long as such use is subordinate to the SOMA Breath marks and is permitted by the facility.

(e) Compliance with Laws

You shall comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances in the country, state, and locality in which you teach SOMA Breath classes, workshops, and approved events. You shall obtain all appropriate government approvals pertaining to marketing, advertising, or providing your services — including any requirements for the instruction of children, as applicable.

(k) Non-Competition

You acknowledge that SOMA Breath content is unique to SOMA Breath and results from a substantial investment of time, money, and effort.

During the Term of your signed Agreement and for two (2) years following expiration or termination, you shall not — without a further written license from SOMA Breath — develop or create, for your own account or on behalf of any third party, any course or program that covers substantially the same topics or techniques covered by SOMA Breath content, or that competes with the SOMA Breath content to which you have had access.
