Online Live Sessions Assessment

Pass this quality test to lead SOMA Breath Live Online sessions on Sundays and teach in the Membership Programme.

Before you start

Required language is English. You must be a certified SOMA Breathwork Advanced Instructor (Level 2).

Assessment points

  1. Zoom session recorded live. The session must be live and your camera on at all times. Make sure your session is well lit, you know how to share your screen and sound via Zoom, your background is clean, and you're dressed appropriately for a diverse audience. If you share an image or video, your face must stay on screen.
  2. Use our standard equipment. See the Sound Equipment Guide for what's recommended.
  3. SOMA Breath music only. Choose from an Energized Meditation Routine, Awakening Journey, or Therapeutic Breathing Session.
  4. Original breathwork templates only.
  5. Custom mixes require Mixing Test approval. If you want to use your own mix for the breathwork (using ONLY our music) and record your voice over it, you must have passed the Music Mixing Test.
  6. Demonstrate screen sharing. During your session, share your screen for a few minutes of an image share AND separately a hypnofractal/video with music share.
  7. Session sequence:
    • Introduce the topic of your session
    • Explanation of SOMA Breath techniques + contraindications
    • Movement (dancing / shaking / other)
    • Visualisation / Meditation
    • Three rounds of breathwork — use 4-8, 4-4, 2-4, or 2-2 breathing patterns. 1-1 is fine for short bursts (30 secs). Forceful mouth breathing is NOT permitted. Kevala is not allowed in these sessions.
    • Bring your session to a close.

Important things to remember

  1. Make sure "original sound for musicians" is ON, both in your Zoom Audio settings AND in the Live Zoom meeting window.
  2. We are SOMA Breath, not SOMA. You are SOMA Breath Instructors, not SOMA Instructors. Please remember this in everything you say and post.
  3. Don't promote personal links and services — refer participants to your Instructor page on the SOMA Breath website.

How submission works

To pass, you need to meet all the requirements above. Once your Zoom session is complete, submit your recording link below. You'll get your results within 3-5 business days.

If you don't pass, don't worry — you'll receive feedback for improvement. Resubmission is available for $30 (this covers the mentor's review time). Your initial submission is free.

Slots are booked in advance, so it's important to show your interest early.

Submit your session recording
