Showcase Your Guided Sessions on the SOMA Breath App

How to record and submit a guided Breath Journey for the SOMA Breath App — one that aligns with our brand quality and offers an inspiring, immersive experience for app users.

Thank you for creating a Breath Journey for the SOMA Breath App! This guide walks you through how to properly record and submit a guided audio session — from the prerequisites and technical standards, through session structure, to how to submit for review.

Prerequisites

Before recording, make sure you:

Technical requirements

1. Audio quality

  • Use a high-quality microphone.
  • Record in a quiet, echo-free environment.
  • Export your final file as the highest-quality MP3/MP4.
  • If recorded in video format, export as MP4. You can record yourself in nature, or in a studio setting with a phone/camera and microphone, then combine the video and audio in video-editing software.

2. Music

  • Only use licensed SOMA Breath tracks from the Instructor Library.
  • The music should be mixed well with your voice — background level only, not overpowering.

  • Guide each round with clear rhythm and tone.

Things to avoid

Final tips

  • Do a test recording first to check your mic, tone, and levels.
  • Speak with presence and warmth — your energy will translate through your voice.
  • Remember, this is a guided journey, not just instruction. Let it flow naturally while staying structured.
